On Aug 16, 2026, the 'Skiros' was hit by aerial drones on the bridge and in the accommodation area, while loading Russian crude at the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) terminal near Novorossiysk. The ship was hit five times, and a fire broke out. The damage was significant. No one has been injured, and no pollution had occurred as a result of the incident.
